Service Description

Join us for a full day of experiencing the ancient art of blacksmithing. Forge your steel, swing the hammer and before the day is done you'll have your own piece finished. You too can create the world's oldest tool and use it at home for generations to come. All tools and equipment supplied. About the event In this workshop you will forge a knife from 1084 high carbon tool steel, in the classic Blacksmith Blade design. I run this particular class as it gives you a large amount of basic techniques that can then be used in many different ways, on many different forgings. You will also learn fire control, hammer technique, Safety, hardening and tempering as well as grinding the blade and bevel. At the end of the day you will walk away with a razor-sharp blade that will give you years of service and the knowledge and skills that you used to make it.
