Blacksmithing One Day Workshop

Create your own custom door knocker in this one day workshop!

Join heritage trade Blacksmiths Rob Scully and Wayne Schmidt for a lesson in the medieval blacksmithing tent at The Workshops Rail Museum.

See demonstrations in drawing, upsetting, squaring, rounding, riveting and barley twisting.

Bookings are essential and the cost includes tuition and materials and meals.

Places are limited so be quick to book!

You need to know:

  • Participants must be 16 years and over

  • There are no prerequisites to attend

  • Bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable

  • Participants must declare any condition or injury that may impact their ability to successfully complete the workshop

  • Bring bottled water and ensure you wear long sleeves, long pants and closed in shoes

  • For catering purposes, please supply us with information about your allergies and intolerances on the payment page (where applicable)
